A Flight Before the Shop Opens: Plan the Bike Return the Night Before

About 5 minutes to read
Thuê xe máy Nguyễn Hà is open 09:00–21:00 daily. If your flight leaves before 09:00, the bike cannot be handed back on the morning you fly, so the return has to move to the evening before or to an arrangement the shop agrees to in advance. This guide works backwards from the flight to a return time, lists what changes when the bike goes back a night early, and gives the questions to settle before you book.
Work backwards from the flight
Start with the time you must leave for the airport, then place the return so that it falls well inside opening hours. Every number below is an illustration for a 07:00 flight, not a promise about any shop’s service.
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 19:15 | Leave your accommodation for the shop, with the bike photographed and the storage space emptied |
| 20:00 | Arrive at the shop and hand the bike back, one hour before closing |
| 20:45 | Back at your accommodation, bags packed |
| 21:00 | The shop closes |
| 04:00 | Leave for the airport |
| 07:00 | Flight |
The point of the table is the hour between 20:00 and 21:00. It is slack for a traffic jam, a queue at the counter or a fuel stop, and it is the only slack you have, because the confirmed hours end at 21:00 and start again at 09:00.
The shop’s location sets your evening
The shop is at Ngõ 5 Nguyễn Văn Cừ, Bồ Đề, Long Biên, Hà Nội, near Gia Lâm bus station. After you hand the bike back, you will need your own way from there to your accommodation. Decide how before you leave your accommodation: a taxi or ride-hailing booking, a bus, or a plan for someone to meet you. A return at 20:00 that ends with a long walk in the dark is not the plan you meant to make. Treat the ride to the shop as a night ride: working lights, no rush, a route you know.
What returning a night early changes
- You have no bike on the last morning. Whatever you planned for that morning, such as a last breakfast, a last errand or the ride to the airport, needs another way of travelling.
- The rental ends earlier than booked. Whether unused time is refunded, credited or kept is a question for the shop, so do not budget for a refund until you have its answer.
- The handover happens in the evening. The shop is open until 21:00, and whether it accepts returns right up to closing is a question for the call. An evening handover at the end of a long day deserves the same care as any other: the walk-around, the photos and the receipt.
Questions to ask before you book
- Can I return the bike on the evening before my flight, and what is the latest time you accept it?
- If I return the bike a night early, is anything changed in the price, or is the booked period simply shorter?
- How is anything I leave with you handled, including any deposit, when I return before the booked end date?
- Is there any arrangement for a return outside 09:00–21:00? If the answer is no, say so plainly and I will plan around it.
Keep the answers where you can find them again. The last question matters most: a shop that says “we will see” has not agreed to anything, and the safe assumption is the confirmed hours. A key drop outside opening hours is something only the shop can offer; if it agrees, get the instructions in writing.
Decide what your last day is for
A bike that goes back at 20:00 means your last full day on it ends around 19:15, not at midnight. That is a planning decision, not a loss: put the stops that really need a bike earlier in the day, leave the evening for packing, and keep a short list of things that can be done on foot or by taxi if you run out of time. If the plan relies on riding somewhere far at the end of the day, drop that stop first; the return time is the one thing that should not move.
Prepare the evening return
- Photograph the bike on all sides, the fuel gauge and the odometer, and keep the photos with their time stamps.
- Empty the storage space under the seat and check pockets, bags and the handlebar for chargers, cables and anything you attached.
- Ask what the shop expects for the fuel level at return, instead of guessing.
- Keep the receipt or a photo of the written confirmation that the bike was returned, with the time.

If you cannot make it before 21:00
Do not leave the bike outside a closed shop or hand the keys to someone the shop has not agreed to. If the day ran late, call the shop on 0334 699 969 while it is still open and ask what it can do. Hanoi Motorbike Rental for a Late Flight: Plan Pickup and Return covers the opposite problem, a flight that leaves late in the day; the shop’s delivery and pickup guide describes how pickup and return work.
